At Nescot, we are recruiting for a Studio Technician in our Music Department.

What we are looking for:

  • Background in music and a knowledge of music production.
  • High level of interpersonal, motivational, and technical skills. 
  • A degree/qualification or experience working within music.
  • Knowledge of studio recording and producing. 
  • You should have a passion for working with people of all ages, especially young adults and school leavers.

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Support the music team across the full range of provision to work with the students on their practical outcomes.
  • Managing the studio facilities both technically and operationally. 
  • Providing workshops and demonstrations for the students. 
  • Working with students to learn music software and instruments. 

A commitment to student learning and attainment is essential.

Nescot is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. Inspectors rated the College as Good in all 8 aspects. The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff.
