Nescot is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to develop and lead on the college's strategy for growth and innovation. The Executive Director: Innovation Strategy and Growth will direct the operations of a number of teams including customer and employer engagement to promote and grow the college’s offer, income and strategic partnerships.  You will be the college’s Ofsted Nominee for Skills and have oversight of the college’s employer advisory boards working with curriculum colleagues. 

This role is pivotal to the growth of Nescot and our vision ‘To be the college of choice that enables and empowers every learner to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential’.

You will lead on key strategic relationships with stakeholders from the public, private and third sectors – galvanising our links and work with the local community and schools. You will also represent the college on a range of Boards and Advisory Groups and oversee the development of annual sales and marketing plans that target the college’s key audiences such as potential students, parents, employers, and other stakeholders, to achieve targets in the Strategic Plan. 

You will lead on brand and reputation development and management and associated thought leadership to raise the college’s profile regionally and nationally. 

Working closely with the Principal & CEO, COO and Deputy Principal to develop strategies for innovation and growth including through curriculum innovation, investment in facilities & the estate and our commercial offer. This will also include working on bids and collaborative activities with partners including the Sussex & Surrey Institute of Technology and the Surrey FE Colleges (FESurrey).

Nescot is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. Inspectors rated the College as Good in all 8 aspects. The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff. Safeguarding arrangements are “effective” with regular training for staff, and leaders have in place “an effective policy for safer recruitment.”
