An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Nescot as a Head of School for Construction to support the curriculum managers for your area and teaching teams and work with the Vice Principal for Curriculum in delivering an excellent learning experience for our students and stakeholders.
Joining our renewed management and leadership team, you will lead and support our Curriculum managers in our well-established Construction provision (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Brickwork, Plastering, Motor Vehicle and Motor sport courses) ensuring that students and apprentices get a first-class experience in the classroom and that the curriculum and our facilities are fit for the future.
You will work with your curriculum managers and be responsible for championing teaching, learning and assessment practices including innovative online teaching, IQA work, mentoring curriculum colleagues, English and maths engagement and liaising with the quality and innovation team to ensure skills and employment opportunities are at the heart of our students’ achievement.
You should have excellent communication skills and innovative ideas about the development of curriculum for this strategic area of growth for education and jobs. In partnership with curriculum managers and the course teams, you will ensure an innovative and high-quality provision and delivery of quality face-to-face and online learning to all learners and promote high standards of teaching.
We want a motivated, learner-centred manager, with considerable technical experience within the Construction area to join our team.
