At Nescot we are looking for a Full time (37.5 hours per week) Student Experience Officer to drive student experience. This role is term time only (40 weeks of the year).

Casual role to start asap (£15.54 p.a to £17.26 p.a) or salaried September start

Main Duties/responsibilities:

  • Attendance monitoring
  • Drive participation in projects like the student union/voice, enrichment activities, personal development and external speakers
  • Have a vision for the Student Common rooms
  • Support students effectively and engage with the college community, linking the work of curriculum and pastoral teams, safeguarding and campus support
  • Ensuring students play a positive part in college life and enjoy being here, championing student behavioural standards and will help plan and lead various pastoral and personal events and opportunities for students and departments to take part in
  • Actively engage with students across the public spaces of the campus, developing trusted relationships with the student body.

Nescot is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff. Safeguarding arrangements are “effective” with regular training for staff, and leaders have in place “an effective policy for safer recruitment.”
