The Lecturers in Early Years will be working within Nescot’s simulated nursery environment with interactive technology resources such as VR Headsets, Reality Works Real Care Babies and other equipment to provide real life learning experiences and the opportunities to apply theory to practice.

The Lecturers in Health and Social Care, will be able to carry out practical lessons in our simulated Health Hub, we have a range of models and resources that provide students with real life experiences to enhance their learning. Learners have opportunities to apply theory to practice. 

What we are looking for:

  • Previous recent experience of teaching and/or assessing Health and Social Care /Early Years
  • Ability to adapt learning strategies to meet students’ needs to teach academic and industry skills and use interactive learning technologies.
  • Qualification up to degree level of relevant subject areas is preferred, industry experience is essential.
  • Teach on Health and Social Care/ Early Years levels 1, 2, 3 and T level in Education and Childcare and T Level in Health 

Main Duties for the Lecturer in Health and Social Care/Early Years:

  • Delivering learning experiences that are engaging, challenging and informed by professional practice
  • Attend meetings as required, to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged with.
  • Develop existing and/or new courses together with other members of the team/s

The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff.
