What we are looking for:

  • Excellent knowledge of government regulations, funding rules, and sector-specific apprenticeship standards.
  • Familiar with the ever-changing Apprenticeship standards within the Construction industry and have experience of supporting assessors in the implementation and development of these.
  • Excellent administrative skills and the ability to ensure compliance to both college and funding procedures.
  • Excellent communications skills with apprentices, employers, lecturers, and internal teams.

 

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of apprenticeship programs.
  • Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards, funding rules, and organisational policies.
  • Ensure that your assessors deliver high quality reviews and assessments that promote and assure Nescot core values to protect and enhance the College’s reputation.
  • Monitor construction apprentices progress and ensure timely completion of qualifications.
  • Working with the College Apprenticeship team to conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain high standards.

Nescot is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. Inspectors rated the College as Good in all 8 aspects. The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff. Safeguarding arrangements are “effective” with regular training for staff, and leaders have in place “an effective policy for safer recruitment.”
