What we are looking for:

  • A recognised Level 5 Counselling qualification that included in depth consideration of the psychodynamic modality.
  • Relevant work experience within Psychodynamic Counselling Education.
  • Relevant formal teaching and assessment experience on Level 5 Counselling Diploma at level 5 or related programme.
  • Ability to grow and develop relationships with external counselling agencies to enhance students’ placement and keep them safe.
  • Ability to assess trainee readiness to practice

 

Duties/responsibilities:

  • To be involved in administering and delivering the curriculum of the learning programme to meet the needs of the students, the awarding body, and the Professional Regulator (BACP) standards.
  • To be involved in the planning of the required administrative and organisational support for an effective and efficient delivery of the learning programme, including effective and efficient placement of trainee counsellors.
  • Follow up and record student progress, absences, withdrawals, and destinations and recording this engagement using Nescot’s secure online platforms and to inform the Curriculum Manager as necessary.

Nescot is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection in January 2023. Inspectors rated the College as Good in all 8 aspects. The report recognises that students “enjoy their courses and are motivated to succeed”, and benefit from “highly supportive relationships” with staff. Safeguarding arrangements are “effective” with regular training for staff, and leaders have in place “an effective policy for safer recruitment.”
